She looks EXACTLY like the Siamese kitten we’ve had for a couple of weeks now!!! We named him Siam.

Lynn my wife seems to agree with you…we’re going to get her spayed at 5 months. I think thats what the vet said.
I agree with you all, she’s pretty damn cute. My dog is having a funny reaction. He hasn’t been up here in my office all morning. He’s stayed downstairs or outside. I expected him to be kind of angry, but he’s acting rather aloof.
I better go give him some attention soon. My wife put kitty on him this morning and the dog didn’t do anything, just sat there. Hmmm. Had I put a baby weasel or badger on him he’d of eaten it. I guess he likes the little fuzzbucket.
I’ll try my best with the litter training, and for those who are wondering, the “machine” isn’t on when kitty is in it. It goes on only when we set it to.
Enugent - she’s 71/2 weeks. Tiny tiny.
We have electric heat and her room is a little warmer than the rest of the house. My wife has a heating pad on low in there too. And we have no curtains low enough for her to get to. But we did find out she can climb up our walls…We ive in a Modern Log Home so all of our walls except in the bedrooms and office look like halved logs… she get’s right up those quick. I’m a little concerned as our ceilings are 25 feet and the trelace to our bedroom is directly off a wall. Easy access if you can climb walls. OMG I’m just realizing this…

That is a really cute cat. I second the name Minmei, it just seems to fit the picture of that little furball. I have found laser pointers to be the best toy to mess with the cat’s head - they love chasing the light around. 
One more thing - be careful, and watch your step, as kittens can get underfoot when you least expect them to.

Nice Link Sqwerticus. I got the cat all alone now. My wife went to Pet Co. to see about the softpaws things for kitties talons. I don’t think they sell them in stores, but she’s going to ask the groomer there if she’s heard anything. This kitties paws are like the size of my pinky finger. The claws/talons are only like the size of a flyfishing hook. But they are super sharp. She doesn’t like her scratch pads yet, but she certainly does like the walls. :rolleyes:

C’mon, let it sleep with you. Its instincts tell it to sleep in a pile with its mom and littermates… and that’s you, now.
I used tape on my furniture with my kittens and it worked just fine. They aren’t malicious scratchers; they’ll scratch the most appealing thing in the house. You just have to make sure that the scratching post is the most appealing thing to scratch. Besides taping the places the kitten tried to scratch, I also arranged for it to find toys and treats on the scratching post. Now neither of my cats scratches anywhere but the scratching posts. No, really.
Thought they do jump up on the kitchen table when they think I’m not looking.
So, then, that pic you posted is actual size?
When we used Soft Paws we got them from a feline dermatologist (one of our boys had allergies and was scratching himself up). I don’ t know if they make them small enough to fit your baby–she might have to do a little growing before the “kitten” size will fit her. They have a size chart at www.softpaws.com.
I agree on letting her sleep with you, BTW. When we first got our latest kitten he was pretty tiny, and he just curled up next to me in bed the first night. It’s so comforting to wake up in the middle of the night with this little furry creature next to you.
'Course, when he started grooming da spouse’s chin in the middle of the night it got a little less endearing, but hey…our cats are spoiled rotten.
About the sticky tape…
Pick up Kitty - put sticky tape on all four feet - put Kitty down. (Have camera ready)
Kitty will then try to shake tape off all 4 feet at once. It’s SO funny! Then Kitty will give you the “look” and sit there until you get the tape off.
You can only do this once. But it’s worth it.
(And yes I love my kitties very much)

I had sworn two weeks ago never to let the kitties into my bed. Nowadays, I am awakened at ungodly hours by little yet heavy purring things on my chest. So I wouldn’t take huge beds on your resolve.

Irishgirl - They do? Wool? Wool is like the only thing I wear 8 months out of the year. Khaki pants, turtle neck Wool Sportcoat/sweater/shirt. My socks are mostly wool…winter ones. Oh geez.

I can certainly get a photo of it. But I don’t have a video camcorder. I may be able to take a 30 second digi sequence with my digital camera. And save it, I just have to figure out how to do that.
Just now she was on the wall, and my dog lumbered over to her. I almost jumped out of my skin…but he just sniffed her, and she gave a pathetic little swat and fell on the floor. He just looked down at her and meandered off. She’s to tiny to be a real annoyance to him.
