# Photo ID to see an apartment-- why?

I was helping my 19 year-old daughter search for an apartment (Seattle area). All the bigger places asked for both our ID’s prior to showing us any units. I had seen the earlier thread here and was therefore neither surprised nor offended. In my younger days, I don’t recall every being asked.

Could it also be that the person and agency showing you around have to prove that they’ve shown people around?
