# Photos Stored on Old Cell Phone

I emailed some of these to myself back when I had unlimited messaging, so I have a couple dozen. But I took about 600 photographs on this phone!
Plus sending them is horribly tedious.
And I dropped unlimited messaging to save a few bucks.
It seems like I ought to be able to USB this old phone to my PC and pull them off (the charger port happens to be the same shape as a USB cable I’ve got already), but I’m not able to find the right software to accomplish this (and Motorola isn’t offering any updates for my 2-yr-old phone).
Any suggestions?
If I activate my new phone and kill service on the old one, will the pix I’ve stored still be accessible (once I find the means of getting them off)? Seems like they should be, the memory is entirely separate isn’t it?
My NEW phone has one of those tiny SD ports. Not sure how I’ll get pictures OFF those little chips, as my PC doesn’t have the same port, but there’s got to be a way. Plus the new one came with a USB cable and some drivers, I’m hoping to find some software to get pix off via cable.

Try [bitpim](http://www.bitpim.org/) - I used it for years with all of my phones before upgrading to my newest phone and it always worked very well.
Yes - you can still access your pictures after you terminate your service.

You shouldn’t need special software: the phone should just appear as a drive letter. Failing that, if both phones are Bluetooth, you should be able to transfer them that way. And you can get Bluetooth USB adapters. See [here](http://www.filesaveas.com/belkinusb.html) for instructions on connecting your phone to your PC via Bluetooth.

That’s what I thought, too, but none of the drive letters did anything (and it’s not Bluetooth). Thanks, though.
