“Net net…” A couple of salesy types I used to work with used this. Means: _The distilled essense of this discussion is…_ “Honor and dignity” Heavily invoked by assorted Pakistani generals in public. Revolting because those mouthing this neither have nor deserve any. “Secularists” The Indian media’s reference to “liberals” with pronounced pro-Islamic political views. A term of deification, “secularists” are apparently a new breed of humans with shining virtues living bravely amongst a sea of barbarians - us. “Metrosexual” Hate it. What does it even mean? ---

Two recent constructions commonly used to satirize others’ views: “the \,” as in “the crazy,” “the stupid,” “the gay,” etc. Also, closely related, “because \” without an “of.” [Here’s a post](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=18395553&postcount=16) from another thread as an example. ---
