Forget the arched eyebrow. Try reading this thread while listening to a Led Zeppelin song (as I did). As has been famously noted before, Robert Plant could sing the phone book and make it sound dirty. Combine that with the entries here and the effect is quite bracing.

“Your epidermis is showing” was a popular one around here back when I was in jr high. This was well before Nelson told it to Bart, then said it was technically true because it means hair (his mistake, not mine). Simpsons wasn’t even a show yet.

Doesn’t work as well if you stop trying to think about what the road’s called in what city and just give up and call it 16 Mile.
