I don’t mean stupid things like “drop the chalupa” or “where’s the beef” here, but there are lots of phrases I would love to see expunged. Two that come to mind are “get a life” and “deal with it” (familiar to anyone who reads these posts). I dislike them because they seem to say that it isn’t worth wasting one’s time responding to another person. Well, if it isn’t, don’t respond. If a person does respond, though, they should have arguments or ideas or something. (No, I won’t deal with getting a life. Wheee!) Bucky ---

It may not count as a full phrase, but it is pretty irritating when someone starts off a sentence with “Well, if you ask me…” * * * Well, shut my mouth. It’s also illegal to put squirrels down your pants for the purposes of gambling. ---

Myself when the correct use is me. eg. John went with myself to the store.
