# Physics/anatomy of drinking through a straw?

I only drink milkshakes through a straw if buying one. If I make one myself, I’m perfectly happy chugging it without the straw. Ditto everything else that regularly comes with straws.

As long as it’s not one of those God-awful paper straws that make everything taste like cardboard and make me want to punch a baby seal.
