If anyone other than me cares, here’s the [technical info](http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/newsdesk/archive/releases/2006/19/image/c) on that image. The red/orange component of the image is in a near-infrared methane absorbtion band; the reason that the pole and the storms seem to glow red is probably upper-level aerosols that reflect sunlight before it has traveled very far into the absorbing atmosphere. The blue/cyan component was taken with a wideband blue filter. ---
