It’s been said, and I forget who(too lazy to go back and look) that said Vince Vaughn as Trent in Swingers. He IS Trent. I want so badly to be Trent - side note, sorry  
I also like Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting, because he was so loose in his role, and laid back with the part.

Just because I have to mention it on every movie thread: let me add Clark Gable in Gone With the Wind. He didn’t want the part, because he felt that there was no WAY he could live up the expectations. I recently got an e-mail from a friend who had watched it for the first time, and she was all “Oh, my god, I’m in love with Rhett Butler…” Still gets ya.

Eve Evil…Little Miss Evil…

Oh, sorry, wrong diva.

I would never dis Our Dancing Flamchen, but I don’t think “Rain” was her best performance. Crystal Allen in “The Women” was as good if not better, “Mildred Pierce” blew Sadie Thompson off the map, and Joan’s performance in “Johnny Guitar” may never be topped in terms of psychosexual meltdown. Anyway, Joan had about three different movie careers so she gets three different bests anyway.
