Vote for me and I will give you something that you did not know how much you wanted it until it was within grasp- a return of the Golden Age of Piracy! Privateers licenses to anybody with a million bucks burning a hole in your pocket, half the proceeds to the [del]crown[/del] presidency! Think of what this will do for flea markets and e-Bay. Plasma TVs for $12, Nikes for a dollar, and once again plumed tricorns bespeak edgy but manly fashion. It’s win-win all around except for where the other country’s ships are concerned, and when have we ever greatly cared what other country’s think? ---

If this doesn’t win me considerable popular support I don’t know what will: If elected, I will impose an Asshole Tax. People found guilty of being an asshole, in public or in private, will be accordingly fined (into penury in certain cases) and the money used to fund education. ---
