Gee, an antiwar march in Portland had a high turnout. Color me shocked. You could have an antiwar march in years without a war, and get near that much there. Weren’t the protests this year relatively small, from the news that I heard? ---

I had not heard that the number of people espousing a belief (eg, “Invading Iraq was a poor idea.”) has any connection with the truth or falsehood of that idea. Or in other words, perhaps they’d rather be right than be popular. ---
