Alas, when I wrote my moving notice letter to the manager of TheApartmentComplexFromHell[sup]tm[/sup], I kept it businesslike, and did not describe the many reasons why and the manners in which she could and should bite me. Yet, I do want to fire a parting shot when my Penske rental truck leaves the accursed place for the last time. Any MMPers know the hip, idiomatic equivalent of ‘bite me’ in Latin? ---

Oh, and iffen you can’t actually find your house on the google maps thingy, try doin’ just your home town and then zoom in and scroll around till you find it. **Tuppy** are you sure that’s the Space Needle? It looks kinda flat to me. My aunt lived there for awhile shortly after the World’s Fair, and said it was pretty tall. **Bob** I guess you’re not taking this opportunity to move off the Og-foresaken Peninsula? Now that I’ve bored all the guys in the thread to tears with more information about shoes than they ever wanted to know, lets talk skirts. I am so feeling the flirty, feminine skirts that are out there this season! I plan to pick up at least a couple, but there are so many choices! There’s a pink print one with a handkercheif hem I’ve got my eye on, but then do I get one in a turquoise/purple print or another (different) pink one? And then I have to get shoes! 😃 I was wearing one of my favorite skirts just the other day. It’s one of those reversible ones, two layers of bias-cut georgette so it’s all flowy and fluttery. It’s black with little white polka-dots on the slightly more opaque side, and black with a pink floral print on the sheerer side, so you can see the polka-dots through the floral. I’ve had it for a few years, but when I put it on on Tuesday, the waistband was all stretched out. So either I’ve lost some weight (maybe a little, but not that much!) or the elastic is dead. Since it’s just a flat elastic waist because of the reversibility, I figure I’ll just open a seam and tighten it up or replace it, but I was afraid I was going to walk out of it on Tuesday! ---

Dell says they’ve shipped my new puter! It might be waiting on me when I get back from Chicago! Speaking of which, **LifeOnWry** and me have made plans to meet. I think we’re going to a carwash to have drinks but I may have that kinda confused. Perhaps she’ll wander by and sort that out for us. Well, I’m glad we’re getting **swampy** rustproofed. Huh. **Wintermute** , I’m afraid I don’t coordinate my shoes to my outfits. I also refuse to wear pantyhose. Knee-highs or thigh-highs, and generally black-and-something-striped knee-high socks. They’re comfy. I do have a nice pair of knee-high heeled doc-type boots. They’re cute. Most of the time I just wear my 8 holes, though. Quasi-Daughter gets back this weekend! Yay! ---

(Black, black, black, dark red or purple, black… ^\_^) And, as it happens, I loathe pantyhose, too, and avoid wearing them as much as possible. I don’t mind tights, if they’re soft, so I’ll wear them in the winter, but it’s getting too warm for such an opaque leg. In the summer, I just wear long skirts and go without. It’s much too hot and humid here in Jersey to wear hose if you can possibly avoid it. I just wish they made a good faux tanner for my very fair skin; the ones I’ve tried usually come out too dark and look weird. I’d have to live in Panama and not use sunblock to have a tan that dark. I’ve tried thigh highs once or twice, but they wouldn’t stay up, and the whole garter belt/hose dealy just makes me super aware of my butt. Like it’s all I can think about. It’s not sexy, just weird; I don’t usually think about my butt at all. ---

Eight-hole Doc Martins. They’re about three inches above the ankle. I hate shoe shopping, and tend to stick to one pair of shoes until they disintegrate. I don’t have a garter belt, but I do have a nice pair of spiderweb fishnet thigh-highs. They have sort of rubbery stuff along the top edge, which keeps them from sliding down. They look cool with very short skirts. ---
