I can see him attending a support group with old timers sporting genuine old school Sailor Jerry and Don Ed Hardy facial tattoos of Thomas Dewey and Barry Goldwater. Too bad there wasn’t a guy there with a Mondale '84 face tattoo to talk him down off of the ledge: “son, it just ain’t worth it.” I really hope the $15,000 benefactor doesn’t turn out to actually have been Bill Maher. Oh Lordy Lordy, attending Republican Party election party when they lose just has to be the most fun a Democrat could have. I almost can see the Addams family in those halls with tears of laughter streaming down their faces ---

Keaton. Speaking of which, the long-running joke of him being a young Republican was entirely lost on me. I had no idea as a teenager why this might even be remotely funny. There are two main political parties in the USA and he supports one of them. How is that funny? ETA: Yes, I’ve long understood the joke now, but not as a 20 something year old. ---
