The penis-splitting thing is old hat. I read about it in [The Masks of God: Primitive Mythology](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0140194436/qid=1053100415/sr=1-18/ref=sr_1_18/104-5159367-7764732?v=glance&s=books) by Joseph Campbell. In some cultures, it’s just sort of like circumcision, squared. ---

i only have a tatoo…and ear piercing (well, i have 2 holes in each ear, nothing fancy). I find the toung split quite facinating…but not enough to split mine… and that’s as far as i would go in body art… what happened to good old fashioned scars?
