I can’t see a Brit replacing Larry King. I love watching shows from Britain. However, I don’t think the average, middle American would like the accent. Especially in times of a major crises. People want to be comforted and reassured by someone they feel connected too. In fairness, I doubt Larry Kings New York accent would go over well on the BBC. He wouldn’t be the guy they’d look to for comfort after a terrorist attack. ---

I would listen to Larry King after a terrorist attack so that I can remind myself that there are worse things out there than terrorist attacks. ---

I’ve watched Larry King since he started on CNN. I like his shows when he’s covering hard news. I rarely watch his celebrity interviews. It’s kind of sad seeing Larry change in the past 10 years. The years have not been kind. ---

It’s bad enbough that he appears on our screens here in the UK at all but I for one am amazed at his apparent visibility (if not popularity) over in the States. Clearly a “posh brit” accent can get you anywhere regardless of talent. People of America reject this non enitity. ---

Can somebody explain why this Morgan fellow is disliked, and why so strongly? I don’t know anything about him, except that he offered to go on a date with Susan Boyle so she would no longer be someone who had “never been kissed”. ---

He had a terrible semi-libellous and often plagiarised column in the Sun for years and then somehow got catapulted into great success. I’d say he’s actually evidence that God exists, because Piers Morgan’s clearly sold his soul to the devil for the right to be a c-list celeb.
