A journalist puts together a story and it gets published. Now the editor (or someone) needs a hook. A heading or title that will bring in the readers. There is a fine line in heading creation. Between offering enough information to entice readers while still leaving out enough to get them to actually read the article in only a handful of words is a difficult job, I’m sure.

Every now and then, the heading just doesn’t seem be what it was intended. Join me in saluting these journalistic adventures:
[”FBI” crime fighting unit launched](http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=topNews&storyID=2006-04-03T125019Z_01_L02763238_RTRUKOC_0_UK-CRIME-BRITAIN-SOCA.xml)

I think it’s great that somewhere in the billions of dollars budgeted for the FBI each year, they have found a few bucks to start crime fighting.
