Just as a data point, I know a very attractive man who is missing parts of two of his fingers. It is not at all emasculating for him to not have a full number of fingers. I don’t think I’d really be bothered by someone not having a full set of testes either, though. And personally as a female there are a lot of things that I’d lose before my fingers. I’m a pianist. ---

When I was 14 I dropped a heavy object on my left pinky. Smashed it so badly I had to have 1/2" of it amputated. It hasn’t really been a problem. Still able to play bass guitar. 🙂 ---

I’d have trouble typing without an intact pinky, and I’d also have trouble playing the violin, if it were my left pinky. But I don’t think I’d miss one testicle, assuming the other one is working. I’m already doing testosterone therapy, so I’d just get the shots more often. ---

I’d be willing to give up part of the pinky. I have a broken one (above the first joint nearest to the fist) that isn’t much use. It’s basically just a lever that I use as required. It only slows my typing a bit. I, too, like the testicle redundancy. The twins don’t like to be separated. They told me once. Once was enough. Also, if I give up something, what do I get in return? It better be good. I could make more money off eBay if I could sell parts. ---

Well, I nearly _have_ lost the tips of fingers before—one recently, but the first one _was_ the pinky. But for all the pain and inconvenience, I can’t help but suppose losing a testicle would hurt more, and be harder to treat. Even if I don’t plan on having kids any time soon, and I still have a backup. It’d be harder to show off/brag/lie about the scar, too. At least with a finger, I can tell little kids that Gollum bit it off. ---
