My Pinochle app will a ward a team that doesn’t save their meld (that is, earn at least one trick during the game) is awarded either zero, ten, or twenty points, based on factors that I have yet to figure out.

Grandma taught me to play Pinochle back in the 70’s, and the concept of saving your meld never came up; you kept your meld if you scored a trick or not. I know, house rules and all, but until I DL’d this app I never knew that the possibility of not saving your meld was a thing.

Can anyone here give me insight onto how and why my app would award zero, ten, or twenty points to a team that fails to save their meld?
