Piranha 3D (no open spoilers in OP)

Even though I am a big fan of Elizabeth Shue, I still can’t see myself sitting through this. Still, Elizabeth Shue in 3D…

I don’t recall seeing any other animals involved. The main characters don’t have a dog or anything, and everybody else is there on spring break. Near as I can tell, there aren’t even any other fish in that lake.

Hmm…

Pros:
“Underwater lesbian ballet scene”

Cons:
Possible bad 3d.
Not currently being advertised for the local cinema.

Using Mindhunters as a reference point, how gory is it?

Regarding the thread title: Is it even possible to spoil a flick like this?

No, it’s the perfect spoilerproof movie

Well, this probably doesn’t deserve the spoiler tag, but just to be on the safe side…

I’m frankly surprised that this discussion has gotten this far without anyone mentioning…

Jerry O’Connell’s penis.

That depends. What’s it about?

Ok, now I’m not sure about this. I’m about over the saturation of that particular meme in current movies.
So about this nudity, male/female? Top or bottom? Front or back? I don’t mind throwing some sausage to the ladies, but only if there is equal opportunity muff for me.

Female nudity. Top, bottom, back, front. Under water. Above water. Wet T-shirt contests. Really, if you like girls or nudity in general, this movie will have something for you. (I was there for the gruesome gore though).

Male nudity. Top. One very memorable scene involving a penis.

It should be noted that the penis was not attached to its life support system at the time.

Aintitcool mentions a power puke in 3D. Sounds fun!

Went and saw it last night. I agree with pepperlandgirl on just about everything. The movie was great fun for what it was. Although after the first 15 minutes or so, the 3D didn’t bother me that much. I didn’t really get the over the top “through the screen at you” stuff…I don’t know if I just don’t see that stuff or if my eyes focus strange. Other than that, I enjoyed it.

This totally sounds like my kind of movie. I may have to see this.

I liked the part where the piranha eats it’s way though……the girl’s head and comes swimming out of her mouth.

Saw it, loved it, need to buy the DVD.

My friend complained it wasn’t as good as Jaws. Yeah, because that had a deep plot.

I was overwhelmed by the avalanche of female flesh. And the amusing cameos. You could tell people had fun making this movie.

Eli Roth died as he would have wanted to go-in a bloody spray.

For the Yerropeans who just might want to see this: it wasn’t filmed in 3d. The movie was converted later, and it shows. There was one shot in the beginning with a wire mesh fence, and it was clear the 3d people just went ‘fuck it’ and screwed it up. Many shots were left almost flat to minimize workload, and the end result is not unlike cardboard cutouts.

Did like the ballet, though.

Saw it tonight, had a lot of fun. Definitely a movie to see in a crowded theater with an active audience.

Re. the gore, while it was certainly bloody, it was so over the top that a lot of it was funny rather than upsetting. (Or am I just terribly desensitized?)

I didn’t notice…how did he die?
