What happened with the rumor that Keef was going to make an appearance as Jack’s father? He’s not listed in the credits.

that honour’s gone to Stellan Skarsgård

Bootstrap Bill’s Will’s dad, not Jack’s. (He’s about the same age as Jack.)

I don’t know whether Richards will be in the movie, but he’s supposed to be Jack’s father (as Depp based his character on Richards.)
