What I’d like to know is, why is it that everyone who knew Bootstrap comments on how Will “looks _just_ like him” only _after_ they find out that he is, in fact, ol’ Bootie’s son? Ah, but I’m far too distracted by the movie’s finer points to be too concerned with that. I’m particularly taken with Johnny Depp’s expressiveness. I think he’d have done well in silents. ---

No, it’s when he’s going into the cave to lure out the pirates, and he says something like “they’ll come out all unaware and you shoot the bejesus out of them” (that’s severe paraphrasing, btw). ---

I think the line is: “…they come out here in their little boats, and you blast the bejesus out of them wi’ your little cannons.” I didn’t know “bejesus” was an anachronism, but I thougnt it sounded odd. ---

There’s a scene where one of Sparrow’s crew (his replacement crew) is explaining the pirate’s history to Turner, and Turner says, “So that’s why he’s all \<_goes into loose-limbed physical impersonation_\>?” Definitely one actor commenting on another’s performance. ---
