Voted Pirates. At sea pirates win hands down, and as there is more ocean than land I believe that makes pirates more dominant. On land however the ninja’s would easily clean up the pirates, this however does not address the more important question of “which would you rather be” (pirate because of the RUM!) ---

Gonna have to go pirates. Black beards and black flags are better than black pajamas. More to the point, when cannon-armed sailing ships actually arrived in Japan, the Japanese (ninjas included) were overawed and didn’t even try to resist. Instead, they set out to get _their own_ cannon-armed sailing ships. ---

Don’t you people read the internet? Ninjas are real ultimate power!! They’re totally sweet, and by totally sweet I mean cool. The pirates don’t stand a chance, the ninjas will totally flip out and just kill them. Kids these days, don’t know their history.
