I like [this Blackbeard](http://www.rpg.net/news+reviews/reviews/rev_3725.html) but I don’t play enough. The PC version that had been in the works should have been great; AH unfortunately was taken over by Hasbro during development and the project got shelved. ---

We can’t have a pirate thread without a few verses from Mildred Plew Meigs “Pirate Don Durk of Dowdee” Ho! For the Pirate Don Durk of Dowdee! He was as wicked as wicked could be, But oh, he was perfectly gorgeous to see! The Pirate Don Durk of Dowdee. His conscience, of course, was as black as a bat, But he had a floppety plume on his hat And when he went walking, it jiggled–like that! The plume of the Pirate Dowdee. Moreover, Dowdee had a purple tatoo, And stuck in his belt where he buckled it through Were a dagger, a dirk, and a squizzamaroo, For fierce was the pirate Dowdee. Oh he had a cutlass that swung at his thigh And he had a parrot called Pepperkin Pye, And a zigzaggy scar at the end of his eye Had Pirate Don Durk of Dowdee. It’s true he was wicked as wicked could be, His sins they outnumbered a hundred and three, But oh, he was perfectly gorgeous to see, The Pirate Don Durk of Dowdee. With a hearty Arrrrrr from as\_u\_wish, who dresses up like a parrot on Halloween with a little pirate doll on her shoulder that says “ahoy matey.” ---

I completely agree wit the OP, pirates are discussed very little, despite their awesome nature. Also, this thread has been lackig in stupid pirate jokes, I’ve only seen one of them. Why didn’t the pirate play golf? He was always over parrrrrr. ---
