Are you just pretending to be so stupid? Do you honestly think that’s why people are getting pissed?
Let me explain it.
_After_ your “anecdote”, _after_ you learned who Terry Fox was, and _after_ it was crystal clear that a bunch of people here (your SDMB “neighbours” so to speak) were genuinely offended by what you appeared to be saying about him, rather than apologizing or backing off, your response was to explicitly and repeatedly deliver more insults. So don’t tell us it was “an anecdote” or that we’re “extraordinarily sensitive”. It’s neither. What people are pissed about is how you keep twisting the knife even though you _know_ you stuck it in the wrong person. At this point, your only possible motivation in carrying on the way you’ve been doing is to get a rise out of people. In short, you are trolling.

I think it’s interesting that all the people getting angry at **stpauler** are claiming that he is insulting all Canadians but they are very eager to insult all US residents at every turn. And really, folks, I have to say, it wasn’t a real knee-slapper but it was kinda amusing. And everyone here except **MeanOldLady** is taking themselves a tiny bit too seriously.
And stop picking on Arnold! He didn’t ask to carry the torch; he was invited. By Canadians. 🙂
