Well…we can say all shootings are equivalent. In which case we should all complain about soldiers shooting at each other. Or, we can distinguish ten year old kids getting shot while in school from gang violence. ---

Hmm, it’s been almost 30 minutes and there still isn’t a thread about all the killings in Chicago . . . it’s almost like those deaths are just a fun “gotcha” for D\_Anconia as opposed to something he actually gives even one fuck about. ---

I do not know. I do not think gang violence is equivalent to 10 year-olds getting shot while in school. There is a sense that gang members choose that lifestyle and willfully engage in violence against each other. It is a problem but it is not remotely the same as little kids getting shot only because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. ---

Wrong. Very wrong. Lots of non gang members get shot and killed in the crossfire, including small children. ---

From the early reports, it was mostly adults shot. Still, they were in the neighborhoods where my family and I grew up in. ---
