In before thread closure. I see the point of the banning, but I enjoyed watching him get excoriated. ---

Well, trying to go on school board, likes being hated. It fits. I’m looking forward to the fleshing out of the ATMB note. I’m not sorry he is gone, but I wonder… We’ll probably see him again as a sock. ---

If you falsely claim “I worked in the Governor’s office in North Dakota”, you’re starting to assume an air of authority and credibility you haven’t earned, and your credibility is going to take a hit. If you falsely claim “I worked in the Governor’s office in North Dakota, and therefore my position on the state’s economic development is correct”, now you’re openly lying and arguing in bad faith. Even if you’re not intending to troll, you’re being a massive jerk. Which is against the rules, especially if you then use that false background to denigrate everyone else. The Derply Departed basically admitted that he’d lied about a substantial amount of his personal life even as he used those false stories to bolster his arguments and to claim that others’ (real and actual) life experiences didn’t apply. ---
