…so are you telling me that it is possible to have an election strategy going into the midterms?
Because somebody just told me that this wasn’t “how American democracy works.” Huh.
Yes. All the traditional dog-whistles, the economy, immigration and crime, are all part of the Republican strategy that they are saying out loud. A strategy isn’t simply one thing. Please don’t mistake a single sentence I typed in rebuttal to another post in this thread as the entirety of what I think the Republican strategy is. It is indeed more complex and layered than just “the culture wars” or “the economy.”
My point was that they actually have a strategy, and that having an election strategy is very much part of “how American democracy works."
Sadly: the nice (D) folks are not very good at sticking to their talking points. (The wanting to improve stuff is getting in the way of getting the power to improve stuff)
There doesn’t seem to be any consistency with what you consider a strategy and deffinitely not what you consider being “crystal clear” about your strategy.
You seem to be horribly confused as to what it is that I’m saying.
That was where I used the words “crystal clear.” It was a suggestion the Democrats make it crystal clear what their strategy will be going into the midterms.
I did use the word “clear” here:
And this is true. They have put the culture war front and centre. Here is a story about the NRCC running transphobic and homophobic ads against LGBTQ candidates. But that isn’t all they are doing.
