No, he’s just badly misinformed. He’s living in the right-wing mediasphere and those folks really believe those things. I think my favorite line, though, was that if the shoe were on the other foot (some Republican was in hot water), conservatives would want to make sure the facts came out. I thought it was the “Clinton crime family” we were all supposed to be worried about. Say, has anyone seen Hillary lately? Can we really be certain that Hillary isn’t actually the one pulling the strings on Biden, maybe even literally inside his head and living through him _Being John Malkovich_-style? I’m not saying we have all the facts, it just seems like when we do it will probably point that way, is all. ---

I love it! When a Republican has a long life, it’s a reward from God for a life well served. When a Democrat has a long life, it’s proof of a Satanic pact When a hurricane hits an urban area or an area with lots of liberals, it’s a judgment from God. When it hits podunk MAGAville, it’s a test of faith and resilience. It all hangs together so nicely! They’re really reaching, though. There’s no more Hillary to use as a punching bag and it’s not easy creating a new boogeyman. ---

He’s being deliberately provocative by hijacking a thread with the same claims he’s made before, intentionally to rile people up. He never backs up anything he says, and what he says is completely contradictory. He’s not living in the right wing media sphere because he’s **here**. There are threads documenting what Trump has done, his indictments, threads about Fox News admitting to lies, and yet he insists that Biden is the one who’s some massive criminal and the worst president in recent years. There is no excuse for that. If he truly believed what he was saying, he wouldn’t be here. I am convinced he’s just stirring up shit for his own amusement. He’s not a poor lost soul, he’s a wannabe agent provocateur. ---

I think that was my challenge–but it was also my post report, since he’s showing no signs of upping his cite game. P&E threads are at their best, IMO, when they’re full of cogent analysis backed by substantial cites. I learn a lot from threads when they’re like that; they can be more informative than the WaPo when they’re at their best. But posts like HB’s nonsense just increase the noise-to-signal beyond what’s tolerable. ---

Whatever happened to that backyard hobbyist tinkerer who was always looking for ways to get an extra half a percent range increase out of arrows? That guy was a lot of fun, and knew the value of critical thinking. I liked him a lot better than this new guy. ---

I personally think the racist shit they spewed recently that I mentioned upthread was worse (I have them on ignore, but saw the Biden crap when I was on my not signed in Fire Tablet last night) - and it got by on a technicality as not being 100% incorrect with yet another note. For any mods reading this thread, I suggest that someone with a bit of spare time (and I know you guys have lives, so I’m not going to scream and shout) look at the sheer volume of racist, bigoted, and homophobic crap this poster has produced over the last few years and see _just_ how many of these “we’re giving you a note” he’s skated by on. I saw (prior to the last one where he got the fuck-you ignore from me) very clear tendencies, that should earn him at least a serious consideration as Troublesome Poster ban and zero evidence they’re getting better. ---

Not yet, but I believe he has put himself on the radar for most of the mods now. If he makes ranting, citeless posts in P&E or GD please flag them. It will allow us to stop the hijacking and hopefully change his posting style.
