If a person repeatedly refuses to cite their sources, that’s good evidence to me that their sources are discrediting and worthy of ridicule, thus there is a strong incentive to not do so. ---

Jeez, just leave this poster alone. When he posts some weird scientific theory, explain why it’s wrong or impossible and leave the thread. That thread about sperm or whatever was really pretty nasty for an IMHO thread. There was no reason for all the rancor. “No, seminal fluid isn’t the same as spinal fluid. From there, you can see all the rest of your connections couldn’t be right. OK, have a great day.” ---

OK, just pushback with “this general idea is wrong, and all the details are wrong, but if you have some source that is making claims like this, I’d love to see it” and leave it there. He’s never going to bring cites, so why bother? ---

I never “bother” because of any particular poster, the OP doesn’t own a thread and I’ll participate in a thread where the subject matter is of interest to me. But this isn’t supposed to be a safe space for bullshit pseudoscience, and if it’s something I’m interested in I’ll call it out when I see it. ---

I agree 100% (assuming you meant “heat” not head off, although 🤣 ), he’d been accumulating warnings (again) and people were making a big point of showing off their patterns (just like I did above) and I think they realized their actual posting permissions were at serious risk. So yeah, time out to let the heat die down. But that’s the great thing about this thread. We’ve got all the damn evidence. And each time, his denials, in light of the voluminous evidence, become ever more tattered and threadbare. One day (hopefully soon) a Mod is going to agree with my assessment that they’re a Troublesome Poster per the rules and just ban them. ---
