Well, it’s pretty easy to tell when something should be legendary - if it’d be broken to have more than one of that permanent in play, or if it represents something significant to the storyline.

Much like many overused words, they begin to lose their meaning once they become part of the common vernacular.
My personal ones that I take issue with:
Hero- Everyone is a freaking Hero now. We have replaced courageous with hero. A soldier is not a hero simply becuase they are a soldier. Heck, they are not even courageous simply for being a soldier. The one who takes risks is courageous. For example, going into a combat zone.
The hero is the one who charged out into enemy gunfire to pull a wounded person out. Then, went back for another. Was then hit on the second try, but crawled back in to get a third. Then, they took a knife and charged the enemy’s position when their ammunition ran out and they were bleeding from six wounds. (I know I exaggerated a little)
Yet, nevertheless, heroic is going way above and beyond what anybody would ever do. For example, a person who sees someone have a heart attack and gives CPR is not a hero. They are just a good a person- which is enough in my book. Why play it up?
Terrorist- Everybody is a terorrist now. It has gotten to the point where we replaced criminal with terorrist
Nazi- Ah yes, evil Godwinizing. Every single act of someone in power against someone without power is the act of a Nazi. Every police officer who takes actions we disagree with is a “brown-shirted, nazi, jack-booted thug”.
Those are just a few. Sorry for the hijack.
stick around, it’s only a matter of time.
The Legendary 11811
I’m confused. Are you talking war, or cricket?
Why do you hate America?
Oh, man, don’t get me started on legendary status for power reasons. Designers who can’t manage to design cards so they’re balanced without a built in “destroy me and all other copies” mechanic are phoning it in.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this OP a word-for-word transcript from the last episode (of the season) of Real Time with Bill Maher?
I don’t get to watch much cable TV. I have no idea if I’m channeling Bill or not.
This thread is amazing!
Before the Ohio State-Michigan game, Brent Musburger described the matchup as an ‘ancient rivalry’.
And this actress is legen-dairy.
I always thought of him as an advertising icon.

I’m sorry.
