When the law says emotional distress, and when you say emotional trauma, I assume we’re talking about trauma _disorders_. Not mere stress. The idea of a politician obtaining a restraining order and court damages just because someone is stressing them out is ridiculous, even if it is outright racism. ~Max ---

There are no end of harms that one can inflict on another that are less-than-lethal. And the implication that _merely being traumatized_ is “on you” (the person traumatized) is rank victim blaming. I wonder how well your conversation would go with special forces operators who deal with the lingering effects of trauma … but can still get out of bed each day. Stop digging. Find a mirror.
