There’s a reason I replied to Velocity and not you, despite the both of you taking similar positions in that thread. Both of you were arrogant on topics you know little about, but at lease he seemed genuine. You even started cracking jokes with “light pop references.” In the same thread you tried to call someone a bigot. And then try to claim you’re worried about someone’s mental health. You just don’t actually seem to be here for discussion in any situation where you might be shown to be wrong about something. ---

You did _not_ use the words of the therapist’s husband. There’s a difference between “secular Jew as a therapist” and “secular Jew therapist”. But you knew that already, you trolling fucknugget. ---

Generally, I use it very similar to “christian” or “caucasian” depending on context. It’s the exact same in my mind to say “secular Jew therapist” and “secular Jewish therapist”. “Jew” is a noun. “Jewish” is an adjective. “Christian” is both. But you must already know this. ---

Is it the exact same in your mind to go to the “Jew Hospital” and “Jewish Hospital”? I can certainly accept that you meant no anti-Semitism by your statement and simply misspoke, unless of course, you double down and defend your statement rather than admit the mistake. ---

The telling thing is that they were not unaware of the GD thread about just this issue. That’s how you can tell the good trolls, always got their fingers on the pulse of what’s the current button to push. Well, I say "good’, but this one is really obvious, aren’t they? ---

I can see how I said that to be jarring to some ears so, sure it was a mistake. But I was talking about an Orthodox Jew not being comfortable with a secular Jew. It really didn’t even occur to me. I was clearly not impuning some attribute to therapists who are Jewish. ---

Exactly this. Apologize for the clumsiness of your attempt to communicate your message, and you come off as sincere. Accuse members of your audience of operating on a hair trigger and you cement their perception of you as a troll in place. ---

Eh, people make mistakes. I couldn’t say that I am 100% sure I wouldn’t have or never will misspeak in such a way. I try to be careful in how I say things like that, but sometimes one may get hasty and slip up. If, when pointed out, they apologize and try to avoid making that mistake again, then no biggie, everyone has learned and grown today. If they get upset, and call you out for pointing out their mistake, then they are likely just trolling. ---
