Hopefully the focus will now shift to where it should have been all along: the legislature that passed this retarded statute in the first place. The duty to retreat in public places worked pretty well for 250 years. ---

I have nothing but sincere sympathy for Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. They are Trayvon’s parents. I cannot begin to imagine their pain at this loss of their son and this verdict. ---
