In the ATMB thread about the Pit, we get a good example of why it is necessary. Apparently, to UltraVile, discussing racism is an ā€œintellectual dodgeā€. Iā€™m glad UltraVires hasnā€™t had to deal with much racism, but to many people it is far more than an intellectual exercise. It is an everyday reality.
