# Pittsburgh Dopers, help!

I’m going to be staying in your lovely city in November. Meeting up with a friend who lives in Philly (closest we could think of as a halfway point). Need info on hotels (not sites, not REALLY ritzy, but better than Motel 6 or Super8…the ritzier the better). And recommendations on places to eat would be great, too.

I don’t know about hotels, but places to eat…

My GOD!

There’s Gulifty’s in Squirrel Hill, which has a special place in our hearts as the site of the First Pittsburgh Dope Fest.

There’s Klavon’s, a really great old fashioned ice cream parlour right on the edge of the Strip-right before Lawrenceville.

There’s the “O”, as in the Original HotDog Shop in Oakland.

There’s Primanti Brothers Sandwich Shop in Oakland, the Strip and I think they have a new location-my cousin was working there.

There’s Dell’s Bar and Restaurant on the North Side

Eat N’ Park-a chain restaurant, but it rocks the house. Smiley Face Cookiees!!!

Pittsburgh Dopefest? I didn’t realize there were that many Pittsburgh-area Dopers. Thanks for the suggestions, **Guin**. I’ll make to ask her if she has any preference.
