Hee. The dog owner who said that to me was Hispanic so maybe ‘cholo’ was her accent leaking through. I think I’ll stick to ‘X-dog.’

Just noticed this thread. The spirit guide (in _La Divina Comedia_, not the movie) is called Virgil (Virgilio), not Dante. Dante is the guy who got booted out of Florence and wrote the Commedia. Just saying.

PS as a non-Christian, it is not Virgil who is able to lead Dante to God. Not sure what Dante would have thought about Mesoamerican religion, but probably something similar.
