Now, if I was to have a “pop” funeral instead of one with strictly religious music this suggestion would be cool > [@SiXSwordS](#): > > Maybe as the casket is being brought to the hearse they could play [Sabre Dance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqg3l3r_DRI) while the Pall Bearers perform various Chinese-Fire-Drill-esque antics. Also this one > [@Prof.Pepperwinkle](#): > > “The Entry of the Gladiators” (Send In The Clowns) has been my lifelong theme. It’s a must. “Time in a Bottle” would also be good. You know how some post funeral receptions have a DVD playing, with pictures from the life of the guest of honor? I’d love to have some of my favorite comedy routines going. Perhaps “the best of Tom Lehrer” Oh, and instead of coffee and cookies I’d like to have champagne and chocolate covered strawberries served. ---

A few years ago, a friend died too early. Her sisters planned the service. It was lovely and traditional, and somehow, nothing that she would have chosen. After the service, as everyone filed out, a few surprise musicians popped up and played a few songs. My friend and her husband were alums of the Stanford band. Several members came and played, starting with the school fight song, “All Right Now”. It was perfect. She would have been so thrilled that they were there. I’ll take the same, please. ---

**The Residents** created this wonderful funeral music for their friend Snakefinger, who died suddenly while on tour in Europe. I think I’d much like this played at my service.
