When you catch the ghost and pull the mask off it will be a smart guy whom I like quite a bit and find to be very level-headed He found something valuable that he needs the bank to be clear during the night so he is trying to scare people away. And he would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for that meddling Hal and that sheep, I mean dog. ---

You do realize that this will be a perfect invitation for people to pull all kinds of jokes on you. Lots of prep time, access to the building, no one else is supposed to be there, previous reputation… Yeah, if it were me, I’d do a nice thorough walkthrough before settling down for the night, and make sure everything us closed and locked. ---

I gotta wonder, are (were) latches like that normal? I could see something like that on a crude safe but for a dead body? What dead guy needs that much security? And looking at the work on them I imagine they cost a pretty penny even at the time they were installed. What could possibly make them worth the expense and effort? If you needed to keep dead (possibly diseased) bodies around for any length of time, you’d want to make sure that those doors were not just sealed, but double-dog-sealed. Otherwise I suspect that the gasses of putrefaction would tend to seep out rather unpleasantly after awhile. ---
