The host has a big screen. And, I consider it traditional to eat bacon while watching the pigskin finale, so there’s that. Chicharrones would be more to the point, but it isn’t every day I can bring myself to eat those. ---

I’m watching it at my local neighborhood dive bar. Voted “other” since it seemed silly to call it a party. ---

Some friends and I are also heading off to a bar. I’m unsure if it qualifies as a party–it’s just a bar with a TV, and it will be showing the game. But that’s why I voted “other.” ---

I’ll be performing in a matinee of ‘Les Contes d’Hoffmann’ for Edmonton Opera. It’s okay, my football season ended when Toronto defeated Calgary for the Grey Cup on Nov. 25th. ---

At home, no party, me and my best friend, Mrs. Tango. That’s how we like it, we’ll be able to watch the entire game, every play, and also the commercials! No small talk among casual friends or, worse, meeting someone new and having to be polite. We want to watch THE GAME. _ **GO NINERS!!!** _ ---

I have to work overnight starting at 1130 PM. I’ll watch the game at home, my first sober Super Bowl in at least 10 years. ---

The score was so lopsided at the half, that my (then) wife convinced me to go for drinks and dinner. We had a nice meal, but I missed Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction. You can imagine my surprise when we returned, and the news was all about Jackson’s halftime show, rather than the game. ---

I’ll be working. I work from home, but we don’t have TV service. I see that it will be available to stream for free online, so I may try to watch a bit, but I hadn’t been planning on it. ---

Other–I’m working. If I weren’t working, I’d probably watch the Super Bowl at home, with my lap full of knitting. But all the [del]little boys[/del] young men I work with want the evening off, so I’ll be at work. I should get home before it’s over–I think–and may or may not watch whatever portion is left at that time. ---

I’ve got a rather profound dislike of football, so I will be studiously avoiding it. My plan is to get a haircut and go to the Russian baths, taking advantage in each case of the fact that everyone else in the world is watching a bunch of men in tight pants smash into each other. ---

I’ll do as I usually do: Watch it by myself with some snacks and a few beers in the middle of the night, taking Monday off. (This is in Sweden, you see.) I’m quite passionate about football, and last year I was at a bar open all night for the occasion with a bunch of friends, but since most people don’t care very much about the game, you end up talking to people instead of watching the game, so I will not make that mistake again. It’ll be me, something to eat, and a few beers. And Monday off. ---

There’s a hash (as in a drinking club with a running problem) on that day that’s ending with watching the game at someone’s place. I’ll most likely go to that. ---

A friend of mine has had the unique opportunity to host a Super Bowl Party every year in what can only be described as one of the most awesome houses ever: the home of a master chef who is himself invited to the Super Bowl each year. So the chef and his wife would go out of town but let my friend host a party in his house, complete with a chef’s kitchen and a great room that had a wide screen tv, seating for 20 and it’s own bar, with 4 beers on tap… This year my same friend will host in his own (new) house, and although I don’t expect it will be as lavish, the company will be great and I look forward to the event. I will bring beer and assorted munchies. Amusingly, as I work for a CBS affiliate, I asked my bosses earlier this week ‘do you have plans for me Sunday?’ No I am told. Okay great, I confirm with the hostess of the party and I’m set. Last night I get the call: “Can you work Sunday?” Ahh, no. ---

Most likely watching a strikerless Tottenham lose to West Brom and then drulking for the rest of the day. “drulking” = drinking + sulking. ---
