Yes. If I were very rich I would probably have the bump on my nose straightened, but it would be relatively subtle. And I would only go to a surgeon who has hundreds of recommendations and whose work I saw beforehand. That’s never going to happen in real life though. ---

Technically, as I was operated on by a plastic surgeon, I’ve already had plastic surgery but that wasn’t for vanity, it was due to a virulent infection (chronicled elsewhere on the Dope some years ago). Right now, no, I don’t think I’ll get it, but never say never. I’d consider it, given the right circumstance. For example, I’m not liking how the skin just under my eyes is aging. If I can slow the process down on my own, fine, but if not I might consider seeing a surgeon about it. Any changes, though, would be subtle - I’m going to try to look 20 again, just improve the worst of it, if it bothers me a lot. And, of course, it I’m in a Terrible Accident or something I’d certainly look into it, if it seemed an appropriate thing to do. ---

I don’t really need anything now (I’m 25), but once I’m a bit older, I can see wanting a breast lift for sure. I also wouldn’t be opposed to things like microdermabrasian or peels to make my skin look nicer. ---

Not unless it were reconstructive to fix some issue that hasn’t happened to me yet. I’ve had enough non-recreational surgery that I’m not interested in anything that isn’t medically necessary. Sure, I have scars (some surgical), but they don’t bother me enough to do anything that drastic. ---

No, not unless I was like horribly injured in the face or something. I really don’t need to be more attractive and I’m sort of against the idea of surgery if I don’t really need it. ---

I’d have to be dragged kicking & screaming into necessary surgery, so probably not. I’m not scaring the livestock as it is and don’t mind wearing my 50 years on my face. ---

The way I was before I had a baby, no. It was all good enough. Now that I’ve had one, yes, once I’m done having babies I’d be happy to have a tummy tuck. I don’t think I’d do anything to my face for pure vanity. ---

I voted “It depends.” I’m leaning towards “No,” (aging isn’t bugging me all that much - so I’m wrinkled, saggy, and grey - who cares?), but I can’t rule it out completely for reconstructive surgery or something. Who knows - maybe when I get REALLY wrinkled, saggy, and grey I’ll reconsider. ---

Yes! I have long wanted a breast reduction and obviously, at this point in my life, it will have to accompany a lift. I don’t even remember when I had perky boobs. I would like to have a chest that doesn’t precede me by much. I could be happier with C cups of equal proportions. ---

Now that I think about it, if I were filthy rich, I’d probably get pectoral and abdominal implants as well. I’d still exercise and all that, but I just never seem to have the endurance or the willingness to really bulk up and get the muscle definition I would like. ---

Yes. I would have a mole take off of my nose, the bump trimmed down, and the tip refined. I’d also have my eyes done; I’ve always had droopy upper lids and puffy lower lids. And the one thing I’d really want done to my face is to have my brow ridge reduced. It’s typically something done with MtF transsexuals as part of the “facial feminization” process, but my dad could pass for a Neanderthal, and I got his brow ridge. Oh - and a touch of a brow lift while I’m at it. And a boob lift and a tummy tuck. ---

I need to lose 20 pounds, which would help, but I’d love to have my chin done. I have a double chin, and I hate hate hate it. It makes me very self-conscious, even though I know it’s not something that people notice about me. I don’t like my pictures because of it; and it’s hard getting over that - my husband will see a picture and say, “you look cute!” and all I can see is that damn chin. Yes, my extra poundage isn’t helping, for certain, but if I had money to burn, I’d absolutely do it. Nothing else I really want to fix, though. ---

Definitely! In fact, when I lose another 35lbs, I am planning to have my tummy tucked. Not so much the muscles, but the leftover skin removed. ---

I think the only thing I’d ever actually consider doing is getting rid of the extra flap of skin above my eyelids, which hangs down onto my lids. It’s hereditary, my mom has it too. But I don’t want to look like one of those people who have had it done and now have that permanently surprised look. But, nah. In a decade or so when everything else starts to droop, my eyelids will finally fit right in. ---

I already had surgery to correct a severe underbite (jaw was brought forward, upper palate was lifted and widened). Love the results, completely changed my face for the better. Would love to get a nose job, if money/time was no object. ---

I’m glad you don’t have money to burn. There’s nothing wrong with your nose. Listen to me. I sound like everyone’s third grade teacher. “You’re beautiful just the way you are,” and etc corniness, but it’s true. I know what some of you people look like, even if not in person, and am a little taken aback by some posters’ lack of satisfaction with their appearances. I mean so much so that if there were time and money lying around, they’d do something about it. I don’t even think I’m pretty but just don’t care and identify with my face \*way \*too much to want to alter it, and then I see all these silly pretty people saying how they’d change this or that. Silliness! Pure silliness. ---

Er… **Glory** was apparently talking about getting an actual, functional defect corrected for most of that post, wasn’t she? For the most part, I don’t think I see folks here discussing Hollywood-style complete makeovers. Anyhow, I try not to be judgmental about these things (hard, at times). ---
