Oblivion deluxe edition is $8.50 on steam this weekend, which inspires me to grab it and play it again.

I figure by now there are lots of good mods and probably texture packs too to update the graphics, from minor things to complete overhauls. What do you suggest?

Last thing I tried was Oscuro’s Oblivion Overhaul. It was pretty good - apparently good enough that the guy got hired by Obsidian Entertainment. I’m not sure if it’ll work properly with a Steam game, though.

Yeah, did some research, all mods work fine with the steam version. I’m trying OOO for an npc/item level/quest level mod, now I’m wondering which mod to try for the character’s levelling system, since the default one is just retarded.

Looks like there are lots of graphical and environmental mods that really add to the game too, particularly qarl’s texture pack, natural environments, and unique landscapes compilation mods.
