Is there a free program that can play VCDs while leaving the menu system intact? This particular VCD works on most DVD players and has a menu, etc, just like a DVD. So is there a free program that can do this?

All VCDs that I have seen are just MPG files even if that have a DAT or other extension and Windows Media Player will play them.

Go to [Divx.com](http://Divx.com) they have a Divx player that I THINK plays VCDs as well.

If that doesn’t work download the newest version of Micro$oft Media Player. While Im not sure if it plays that, it plays just about everything out there.

Uh… I don’t know, but my WMP8, won’t play VCD. I have to use WinDVD to play it. That’s not free though, but I think there’s a shareware version somewhere to download. As others have noted - start at [download.com](http://download.com)

I tried every free VCD player at [download.com](http://download.com) and none of them will use the menu…they just play the movies on the disk in order. =(

[http://www.vcdhelp.com/play](http://www.vcdhelp.com/play) : To play a VCD with menus and still pictures use WinDVD or PowerDVD, insert the VCD and just hit Play.
