Okay, we know who the assholes and cowards are. They are like two-year-olds – ignore them when they throw their temper tantrums and eventually they’ll go away.

First off, I regret the way I was brought to this board. I believe that both sides were wrong.
However, I would like to continue some of the discussions that I started since I came. I haven’t come to sow “the vengeance of the Lord,” but merely to better understand my beliefs by trying to understand others.
Please, I haven’t generalized or said anything mean about anyone here, don’t generalize about me based on the fact that I’m came from the Left Behind Message Board. It would be a terrible loss for me to not be able to continue my discourse.

This is the forum for that type of discourse.
As I said to Mike earlier, as far as I’m concerned, you’re welcome to debate, discuss, and argue here.
Don’t expect people to not pre-judge you because you came from LBMB–they will, and they can’t help it any more than some from your camp can help making blanket statements about the posters here. Human nature and all that, y’know. If you choose to stay, understand that it will be an uphill battle, for awhile anyway.

AFAIAC, anybody who is interested in civil discussion, as opposed to preaching or spamming this board, is welcome.
You’ll note that there has been no wholesale banning of LBMB members on this board, nor revocation of posting privileges for any LMBM board member based strictly on their status as an LMBM member. Further, anybody from your board who wants to come over here in good faith and register to participate is free to do so.
Quite a difference, wouldn’t you say?

Yes, it would be a loss, and if you really are trying to respect the standards of this message board, then I am sorry if you have been treating rudely. Just so that you know what is **not** acceptable, see the OPs for the threads “God loves you” and “The Lord will win”. This is the Great Debates forum, and as such threads should be started on matters of legitimate debate, not on the spouting of dogma.

I must accept it, because I’ve seen the proof all over two boards in the past couple of days. We are each “the enemy” to the other, at least in some shadowy part of our minds, and posts from both sides reflect that.
I don’t _like_ it; I feel that painting anything with too broad of a brush is foolishness; yet the fact remains that even the best-intentioned will fall prey to human weakness…and logic goes out the window at that point.

SoulFrost: Your point is WELL!!! taken! I agree. And I agree with Melin. I am a Born-Again Christian myself but I am not sure I want the others here. I have been hurt by non-thinking fundies as much as anyone here.

Melin, I have a thought. If you don’t mind, why don’t you post here who the newbies are? That way no one will be confused as to who to ignore.
That way we can ignore all posts created by them and ignore them in the posts they participate in that are started by our members (pre 12/30/99 members).

We’re not ignoring newbies, not even ones from Left Behind–just trolls. Newbies are quite welcome, as long as they are reasonably polite and do not spam us like several of the Left Behinder’s have. I’ve been over there, and while I do not approve of the prevalent attitude there towards Jews, Mormons, heck, anybody who is not their particular breed of fundamental, I saw some decent people over there, too. If they want to stay and contribute, the more the merrier.

This was in response to a newbie from LBMB starting a thread from OUR administration.
It was TubaDiva posting.
Leave them alone and let them go HOME wagging their tails behind them.
Let the “chosen few” go back to LBMB like the “sheep” (double entendre) they are!
