kerux - I’m sure I can find a Dr Pepper or an A&W in my cooler, down here between the bottles of Corona and Negra…David B was supposed to bring the chips, but he gets confused - brought _poker_ chips, poor guy. Poorer after we played a few hands! 😉 ---

A Dr. Pepper would be great, thanks. And a nice friendly game of poker would be fun, too. I hope you won’t mind if I don’t gamble, but if we can just play for, say, some of Melin’s cookies? That is, if Melin would be willing? I brought some Caramel Apple suckers with me, if anyone wants some… First Church of David? Yes. Playing for cookies is just in the spirit of fun. However, playing for money is what is bad. I have seen families destroyed by that type of gambling. But I have yet seen a family destroyed because someone gambled away all the chocolate chip cookies. I agree that playing for cookies is fun. However, I disagree that money = evil. Cookies and money can be converted into one another (unless the cookies are _really_ bad). Wasting more than your “entertainment budget” on anything (e.g. ball games, fishing boats, cars, porno, drinking, gambling, etc.) can be detrimental to your family. And that “budget” includes your time, which is a very precious commodity. ---
