It sounds like this wasn’t their first date and they had actually been seeing each other for a while now. While that’s a stupid thing to quibble over, she’s going to get raked over the coals again for lying about it. I hope it’s true, no so much to catch Lauren in a lie but because the drag queen from his bar that came forward probably did so knowing they were putting themselves in at least some amount of danger. There’s too many extremists out there that will happily shoot the messenger if it means not having to hear something that disagrees with their world view. Can’t say I’m much impressed by the overtones of slut shaming going on here - though I get the hypocrisy angle - but what would bother me if Boebert was my local representative was that she was behaving in a way that disturbed other patrons. My local representative could be an ultra kinky sex maniac for all I care, but someone who shows a lack of basic consideration for those around them in a theatre is showing a fundamental character flaw. ---

I’m not an American, but as far as I am concerned my (equivalent of) representative can do whatever she wants, in the bedroom, dungeon, public, nightclub, whatever. On two conditions: it is not illegal or distasteful/insulting to anyone else, and, she is actually representing her constituency in her day job. Ms Boebert fails the second. She barely passes the first, though I would be pretty pissed off I had been in that theatre. Unfortunately being an entitled dickhead is not a crime. ---

Well, if she’s going to be doing this in public, and then lying about it and doing a half-assed apology, and the interviewer is just going to let her get away with it, she needs to stop calling herself a family-values candidate. In fact, the entire Republican Party has blown that long ago. ---
