Please, guys – spelling! You’re bringing back unpleasant memories of the imdb boards. If we didn’t go to the Moon, what _have_ we been doing with that flying saucer technology from Roswell? Seriously, one thing I’m curious about (although not enough to read through all of Hoagland’s garbage): what do these nuts say about the Apollo 15 - Apollo 17 missions, and all that film of driving over the Lunar surface (with its eerie clarity and deceptively close horizon) in that groovy electric dune buggy known as a Lunar Rover? That must have been one big soundstage! ---

I imagine that there’s at least one person out there who will claim, with a straight face, that they can recognize at least some features from [Monument Valley](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monument_valley#Film) in that footage. ---

[/QUOTE] Monument Valley is pretty amazing. I’ve also been to the badlands of southern Utah; that area’s been used to stand in for an alien planet in several movies. ---

I agree. It’s not a _completely_ unreasonable idea, really. If you begin with the assumption that the moon landings must be faked, it would be one relatively accessible location where the hoaxers could find some otherworldly-seeming terrain. I just think that _finding_, or claiming to have found, any point for point correlation between Monument Valley and the lunar moonscape as shown in the Apollo films and photos is too far-fetched to take seriously. ---

Whether you’re serious is more than I can say. The moon guy, however, is not. It’s a parody of holocaust deniers. And a demonstration of how stubborn skepticism cannot be beaten into submission with any amount of evidence or reasoning. ---
