That’s all I want! I’ve been searching and you can find birthday apps, and address books, but what I want is one that just has a field, so you can put name, address, contact info, birthday. Anybody? ---

The old PalmPilot desktop (and handheld) later versions did, but Palms are dead and dying now. ---

The Apple standard address book on my ipad has a birthday field. ---

I suppose it depends on the tablet OS that you are using. Gmail has a birthday field in its contact list, and that will run on any Android tablet (or other device). ---

I guess I’ll use Gmail. I’m not too fond of their contact list. I am using a Nexus 7, so it seems the best, but I really wanted a separate app to put on my home screen. ---

Birthdays put into the contacts on an iPad show up on the calendar app. ---

You can put a “contacts” shortcut on your home screen that will take you right to your Gmail contacts list, with no need to go through the Gmail app. There is probably even a widget, but I don’t know for sure off the top of my head. ---
