Just wanted to clarify – the term was used several times after your post, and “a few males will cluster around a female” could imply she was mating with more than one.
There are a lot of people who are ignorant about snakes (and want to kill them) and I was just taking the opportunity to educate. “Breeding ball” eh? I like that. So I learned something too. Thanks.
