# Please help me identify this song!

I heard a song the other day that I haven’t been able to get out of my mind. I have no idea who sings it or what any of the lyrics are. All I remember is a brief musical phrase in what sounded like the refrain. Here is a [17-second video](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bZOL8ov9x8) of me playing it using an online keyboard. It’s hard to play the piano with a keyboard, so cut me some slack 😉
Some (possibly) helpful hints: The band sounds like it might be in the same genre as Modest Mouse or Franz Ferdinand. It might fit in the genre of alternative rock or maybe electronica.
Sorry to give you so little to work on. I hope the melody is enough.

It was on Sirius in a Jimmy John’s sub shop. That’s why I couldn’t hear the lyrics very well. I’m also thinking that I might have heard it on MTV2 once at the beginning of this year. It’s definitely a recent song. I don’t think anyone could guess it without hearing the melody, unfortunately. But thanks for replying so quickly!

I was asking where you heard to help future responders, in case they get to hear your clip, because I sure as hell won’t be hearing it any time soon.
YouTube is pulling that bullshit silent treatment on me right now (Not loading the page what-so-ever, just all white). Apparently I did something to piss her off big time and she’s pulling the additional bullshit of “If you don’t already know what you did wrong, then you don’t deserve to know.” As if that stupid outlook is going to solve anything.
Fuck YouTube.

I don’t recognize the song, but her’s another approach you could try:
Go back to the Jimmy Johns. Ask them which Sirius station they play. If they give you a straight answer, try and remember the date and approximate time you heard the song. Then go to this site and [check the playlist](http://www.dogstarradio.com/search_playlist.php).
If Jimmy Johns won’t help you but you remember the date and time you heard the song, just check Channels 21 and 26. They play 99% of the Modest Mouse.
