I think this is the proper place to ask this kind of question. If not, then a moderator is welcome to move it. In reading the thread about Scot Christopher’s Tripod trilogy, I suddenly remembered the series by Eleanor Cameron about ‘The Mushroom Planet’. That series was a lot of fun to read to my children of so many years ago. I also recall a fantasy/SF story about a little robot who was thought by some kids in the story to be a Scottish knight because he came in a crate entitled ‘MacHinery’. There was magic involved. My Google-Fu has failed me on this and I am asking for assistance from the board at large. This isn’t much to go by, but I knew that if an answer is to be found, this is the place to seek it. ---
